En julio de 1999, se fund\u00f3 el programa Liderazgo para la Salud de la Mujer en la Comunidad Latina (LCWHL) y recibi\u00f3 el apoyo financiero de nuestro primer patrocinador, The Women&#8217;s Foundation. Este programa fue un \u00e9xito gracias al compromiso y la participaci\u00f3n de 15 Peer Leaders y 4 Faculty Advisors. Despu\u00e9s del primer a\u00f1o vimos los excelentes resultados de su crecimiento personal y el impacto en la salud y el bienestar de sus familias y su comunidad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El Centro Latina<\/strong> se fund\u00f3 como organizaci\u00f3n sin \u00e1nimo de lucro en el a\u00f1o 2000 con la convicci\u00f3n de que el \u00e9xito y la eficacia del cambio comunitario para mejorar la salud empiezan por los l\u00edderes informales de la comunidad.
