Tambi\u00e9n se trata de c\u00f3mo reaccionaron el cuerpo y la mente ante una experiencia que se sinti\u00f3 abrumadora, aterradora o insegura. Un evento traum\u00e1tico puede ser: violencia, abuso, negligencia, un accidente grave, una p\u00e9rdida repentina o incluso estr\u00e9s continuo como separaci\u00f3n familiar, infidelidad, miedo migratorio o condiciones de trabajo inseguras.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Muchas personas creen que el trauma termina cuando termina el evento. En realidad, el trauma puede quedarse en el cuerpo y aparecer despu\u00e9s como ansiedad, enojo, adormecimiento emocional, problemas de sue\u00f1o o dolor f\u00edsico. Algunas personas se mantienen en estado de alerta y sienten que no pueden relajarse. Otras se cierran emocionalmente y se sienten desconectadas de s\u00ed mismas o de los dem\u00e1s.   <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En las comunidades latinas, a veces el trauma se normaliza porque muchas personas han tenido que sobrevivir a experiencias dif\u00edciles.<span> <\/span><span>Generalmente se dice: \u201cas\u00ed es la vida\u201d o \u201chay que aguantar.\u201d <\/span>Pero sobrevivir no es lo mismo que sanar. El trauma no resuelto puede afectar la crianza, las relaciones, el trabajo, la salud y la autoestima. <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Se\u00f1ales comunes de trauma:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pesadillas o recuerdos repentinos.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sobresaltarse con facilidad.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Evitar cosas que recuerdan el evento.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adormecimiento emocional.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enojo o irritabilidad.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dificultad para confiar en otros.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dolores de cabeza, de est\u00f3mago o cansancio.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Sanar del trauma suele tomar tiempo y apoyo. Algunas cosas que pueden ayudar son: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hablar con un terapeuta con enfoque en trauma.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crear seguridad y rutina.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dormir, comer y mover el cuerpo regularmente.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Practicar ejercicios de conexi\u00f3n con el presente.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rodearse de personas de apoyo.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tener paciencia contigo mismo.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ll\u00e1manos al (510) 788-1855<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El trauma no es se\u00f1al de debilidad.
