*2022 Year End Campaign*
Invest in Our Mental Health Services & Operations
I’m excited we participated for the first time this year in #GivingTuesday and took that the opportunity to launch The Latina Center’s Year-End fundraising campaign. Our goal for Giving Tuesday was to raise funding to expand our Mental Health Services to meet our community’s growing demand for support. For our Year-End campaign, we’re continuing to raise funds for Mental Health Services and we’re also raising funds for our Operations.
The need for Mental Health services is vital, we’ve seen domestic violence and poverty rates rise nationally the past few years including in our Latino community here in Contra Costa County. We have a cumulative waitlist of 20+ clients who are seeking mental health services and we must continue to respond to our community’s needs. Given this and our basic operational needs to sustain our work, please consider donating $1, $10, $50, $100, $1,000 or more today. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
I’m so proud of The Latina Center’s impact in improving the quality of life and health of women, men, and children in the Latino community. This impact has been possible because of you. It is because of your generosity and belief in my vision, when I started the center 22 years ago, that we are a thriving organization today. From a small group organizing in my living room to a team of 14 managing 8 programs and many services in our offices on Barrett Avenue in Richmond…I’m so proud of how we’ve grown and effected meaningful personal and community transformation. I see this transformation every day, in the faces of women who feel safe and confident in their own voices and are pursuing their own dreams including owning their own businesses. I see it in parents learning skills to support the social-emotional development of their children and advocating for more equitable policies for our children. I see it in my own staff, women who have graduated from our Women, Health & Leadership Program along with 1,000+ other women over the years and are now leading that program and other programs in our organization! I could not be prouder.
Please consider a small or large donation to help us serve our community. Every dollar helps!
