Dear Community,
In the midst of the pain, fear, and helplessness we feel in response to the aggression against our Latino brothers and sisters and the deportation of thousands of hardworking individuals who are an essential part of this society, we ask ourselves: why?
Perhaps we should instead ask: for what purpose? Why this moment?
To remind us of who we are.
To strengthen our unity.
To awaken the leadership that lives within each of us.
Even in these unprecedented times, we have witnessed something powerful: solidarity. People from different communities have raised their voices to defend human dignity. To the families who have suffered losses, we extend our compassion and our commitment to move forward with even greater strength.
As a Latino community, we are resilient. Our strength lives in our history, in our sacrifices, and in our
dreams.
We have the power to rise.
We have the power to support one another.
We have the power to transform pain into action and leadership.
At The Latina Center, we witness that transformation every day. We listen with empathy and walk alongside each person as they reconnect with their inner strength. We see women rebuilding their lives
after violence; parents strengthening their leadership at home; youth finding their voice; children dreaming big; families healing together; and individuals becoming entrepreneurs and agents of change.
This is more than programs.
It is transformation.
It is community.
It is collective power.
Now more than ever, it is time to prepare ourselves—emotionally, educationally, and as leaders. We invite you to take advantage of every workshop, every learning space, and every opportunity for growth.
Because when one person grows stronger, the entire community grows stronger.
Together we are stronger.
Together we are resilient.
And together we will continue rising.
With solidarity and hope,
